Minister Chris Skidmore's letter to Make Votes Matter

On 28th July 2016, the newly appointed Minister for the Constitution of Theresa May's Government replied to Make Votes Matter's open letter to his predecessor.

Chris Skidmore MP maintained that the Alternative Vote Referendum of 2011 represented a rejection of PR - despite AV being a non-proportional system. In fact, Chris Skidmore, his predecessor John Penrose, and even the new Prime Minister all voted against allowing the British people the choice of a system of Proportional Representation in that very same Referendum!
