Make Votes Matter in Totnes

  • Methodist Church Hall, 47 Fore St, Totnes TQ9 5RP (map)

We’d like to invite people in and around Totnes to this Make Votes Matter meeting.

In GE2017 68% of votes had no impact on the result. First Past the Post continues to distort Parliament in a way that polarises politics and marginalises voters.

But in this Parliament we also have a once in a generation opportunity to change to Proportional Representation... if we get to work now! Klina Jordan from the national Make Votes Matter campaign will join the meeting and explain how you can help win real democracy in the UK.

The meeting will take place in the Methodist Church Hall in Totnes at 7.30 pm on Thursday 22nd March. People of all parties and none who want Proportional Representation will be very welcome. The aim will be to formulate ideas for our next actions, and to gather volunteers to carry these out. If you have any questions, please get in touch with Laurie Taylor via lauriedeepstream@gmail.com.
