Open letter to Theresa May and Chris Skidmore

On 10 October 2016, Make Votes Matter sent the letter below to the new Minister for the Constitution in Theresa May's Government. It was signed by 10,267 people. This included over 4000 who added their own comment about why we need Proportional Representation - just a few of which are displayed on this page. View the full PDF version of the letter to see them all.

Given Theresa May's rhetoric about "a country that works for everyone" and Chris Skidmore's comments about "strengthening our democracy", we hope the new Government will be open to thinking and talking about voting systems than the previous one.
