Who we are and how we’re funded

Make Votes Matter is the national movement for Proportional Representation (PR) in the House of Commons, and is a single-issue campaign.

It is a non-profit company limited by guarantee, listed here at Companies House. HQ is in Bristol and many of our team work remotely in different parts of the country. We have five director-members, a tiny staff team, dozens of key volunteers and local groups, hundreds of committed activists and hundreds of thousands of supporters. We are immensely grateful for the amazing work everyone does to help us win PR - thank you!

The majority of our funding currently (2019) comes from grants (you can click through to our funders’ websites here) and the rest comes from small personal donations, which average about £25 each.

For more information about all of this, and to see what we did in 2017, you can read our annual report below, or download it here.
